the amandzing way

bored at a press conference…

i see no beauty
in the buildings around me
stainless steel relieved by concrete
and potted trees
no home for evening nesters and no sleepy chirps
except perhaps…
human hamsters scuttle about in concrete cages
separated in these modern ages from natural land by panes
of solid see through molten sand
alcohol fuelled chatter of people in property
who matter
they stretch their buildings towards the sky
concrete empires leave them high fooling themselves
they can fly, they don’t need wings
why
don’t they just stand outside?
