amanda is an amazing person.
she writes with words that linger in the heart.
a south african, I admire for her sense of community.
an ex police officer who loves dogs and humanity
a woman becoming something more
an observation I think I am observing
becoming something most wonderful,
and unique
something precious
slenderly defined
by time
and effort
and inner examination.
Amanda
is simply
Amazing.

After commenting on my poetry, I checked out your own and am very amazed, humbled and probably not worthy of the praise from someone of your caliber. Your writing style and use of voice are phenomenal!!!

I had a question that I hope you could help answer. I sort of overheard on the news this morning, as I was getting out of the shower, that the University of the Free State recently desegregated its dorms and there’s been a lot of violence, something about a tape where black students were made to eat stew in which Afrikaners had pissed. I am confused, though, and think maybe because I didn’t hear the full story. Wasn’t dorm life desegregated when apartheid ended? Sorry to comment here, but, as fate would have it, you’re the only South African I know, besides Charlize Theron and Dave Matthews, and they aren’t available for questioning.
You can email back at **** so that you don’t have to post on your site. Thanks!
will do

Freedom is what makes the very best possibilities possible. It is truly a treasure that nothing else can replace. Freedom does not guarantee any specific result, and that is in fact its beauty. Instead, freedom gives you the priceless opportunity to create your own results. Freedom taps into the awesome power of each unique individual. Freedom is the fertile ground from which magnificent achievements spring forth with unceasing vigor. The demands of freedom are great. To live with freedom requires effort and discipline, commitment and sacrifice.
For in freedom you truly become the best you can be.
Mandy, I can see that you have taken a QuantumLeap in attaining yours!
- thank you my love, how did you find me!?
