the amandzing way

where i am

where i am
bottomless screams
puncture my vision
while silent echoes vibrate
through bloodless veins
silver slivers slide
groping through greasy warmth
for nonexistent peace
separating me from me
while beautifully jagged edges
will never meet again
pretty pink puckers
fading to grey
and crumbling to ash
in my own hells flames
my soul is rubble
toil and trouble
me no more

I love the flow to this; it’s deceptively simple but very powerful, particularly the last lines. And while silent echoes vibrate/through bloodless veins creates such wonderful imagery and feeling… another beautiful poem.
