sixteen days

sixteen days of activism today
a lifetime of yesterday, today, and tomorrow
this re-post in memory of those who live the memory
who die each day in memory,
who are now only a memory
this
is in your honour

broken angel

you’ll never see her cry
as she stumbles over rocky ground
while heavy air makes it hard to breath
and tattered wings fear flying again
shame at history past
destined to last until
destinys past
with every breath she fakes
serenity
you’ll never see her cry
as she wonders why
you took her
when she turned to you
to help her fly
and fcked a lifesized hole in her soul
shattering her dreams of humanity
and left her to learn
to fly all over again
wondering if bleeding wings
will ever fly again
but
you’ll never see her cry
